Goals

♫ “Truisms 4 Dummies - Headache" 
 

A lot of life happens to us, not because of. 

And most of it, the same as it was before. I don’t change dramatically from one year to the next. The last time I feel like I made a big change was 7 years ago. Since then I’ve just been riding a sea of constant change. Never the same person, never the same river. 

I reflected on my 2025, and my perspective on it isn’t to be trusted. So I picked 3 random journal entries at different times to read back on.

I found that I always want more.

I never have enough. Regardless of what I have done in a year, which may have been a success at the outset, I am always being judged off the things I haven’t done.

I have more ideas than I can execute on.

This year I would like to do much of the same. More of the same shit that I like doing. Same routines and traditions that have been set in place from the past when they were just bullet points on a page at new years. 

I would like to add a few things in and take a few things out. But overall I’d like to acknowledge the rumbling tumbling ball of progress and decay that is humankind and my place in it. So I’ll keep up the gym, try to add in a bedtime routine, try go to geese show, stay off the smokes, keep writing and keep some goals and failures to myself.
